WOMEN  WORK  100  MINUTES  A  DAY  FOR  FREE

No. I am not speaking of the work they do at home. Women managers earn 22% less than the men in an equivalent job. That works out to 1 hour and 40 minutes of work per day or 57 days a year. Further up the pay scale the disparity is even worse. The inequality is found in all fields including the cinema, sports, business ……  .

This news is not new. It has been the reality since time immemorial. The gap is, fortunately, narrowing, but far too slowly. What is surprising is that the improvement is so slow, even in the 21st century, even in the so-called advanced societies, even as agriculture and industry have given to services as the predominant sector of modern economy even though in this tertiary sector physical strength is of no importance.

Women of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose except your free labour!
